If you’re interested in high risk, high reward set ups, I’ve got one for you. The DeMark Sequential indicator will register a 9 today on the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrials. Given that the full extent of Hurricane Rita’s damage won’t be known until Sunday, aggressive traders could buy options or futures today (Friday) in hopes that Rita won’t be as damaging as feared, which could spark a relief rally on Monday. This is essentially a bet on the weather, which is even more unpredictable than the stock market, so I’m going to pass on this one. I just bring it up because I thought it was an interesting set up.
