It looks as if the S&P 500 is simply churning below resistance levels, which usually indicates distribution.
In addition, while the short term stochastics indicate the NASDAQ is oversold, the intermediate term and long term stochastics have turned down, but have not yet reached oversold levels. That usually indicates more downside.
